CREATIVE'S CORNER
The Why:
I’m a counselor and a creative, and those two parts of me have always been connected. Before becoming a therapist, I spent years in the performing arts. I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from Texas Christian University, worked professionally in the local theatre industry, and moved to New York City to pursue performing. I know what it’s like to put yourself out there, chase inspiration, and navigate the vulnerability that comes with being seen. That experience continues to shape how I show up in my work today.
I've always been drawn to working with artists, performers, and creatives. The creative life can be incredibly meaningful, but it also comes with its own set of challenges—performance anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, comparison, and the constant pressure to stay inspired or “on.” I’ve seen how much creatives carry, and how few spaces exist where all of those experiences can be supported in a real, intentional way.
That’s a big part of why I created Creative’s Corner. This space is designed to bring creatives together through workshops, group events, and shared experiences that support both personal well-being and creative growth. My goal is to offer something that feels grounded but approachable—where you can connect with others who understand the creative process, build insight and coping tools, and feel a little less alone in it all.
At the core of my work is the belief that your creativity and your mental health aren’t separate—they influence each other.
You don't have to separate your creativity and your well-being here. Both are welcome. Both matter.
